Worked to pass a renewed Public Safety and Library millage

Created and implemented an Opioid Awareness Forum and formed a partnership with Wayne County Mental Health Authority and Growth Works

Originated a Proclamation for “National Recovery Month” for mental and substance use disorders and to promote treatment and recovery services for mental and substance use disorders by increasing awareness and achieving and sustaining long-term recovery

Applied for and received two grants, one for $20,000 and another $5,000 for local food banks, and initiated food collection donations through the Township for local food pantries

Implemented, devised, and advocated a summer concert series through the Parks and Recreation Department

Proactive on new signage and remodeling updates for a safer Township Hall environment

Advocated for a Diversity Resolution

Worked on drafting and implementing a newly revised Board of Trustees Code of Conduct Policy

Championed for and worked on bringing forward a feasibility study for a new community center

Successful launch of a recreational splash pad for our area youth

Initiated and partnered with Van Buren Public School to start an area youth chess club

Advocated and worked on the Iron Belle Trail Path initiative to make it as safe as possible for our residents

Advocated for and worked on ending legacy retirement health care for elected officials

Initiated and maintained an active role in integrating a strategic plan to move the township forward

Proactive and advocating for bringing new businesses into the Township

Advocated for local road repairs and power outages on behalf of area residents

Established and fostered relationships with the VBT Board of Trustees, the tri-community leaders, the school district, and other Wayne County elected Officials
